Karachi Kings Defeat Lahore Qalandars by 5 Wickets

Lahore: Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by five wickets in a thrilling Pakistan Super League (PSL) encounter.

Lahore Qalandars, batting first, scored 129 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Karachi Kings got off to a poor start, losing two wickets for just 10 runs.

However, their middle order stabilized the innings and kept the scoreboard moving.

The match remained tense until the final over. Karachi needed 14 runs off the last over to win.

Before the over began, the umpires inspected the ball and replaced it after determining that its condition had been altered.

As a result, Karachi Kings were awarded a five-run penalty, reducing the target to 9 runs.

Haris Rauf struck on the very first ball of the final over, dismissing Khushdil Shah.

However, Abbas Afridi sealed the victory for Karachi Kings in dramatic fashion by hitting a boundary on the second ball and a six on the third.
