ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, held separate telephone conversations with Kuwait’s foreign minister and the European Union’s top diplomat, officials said on Tuesday.
Dar spoke with Kuwait’s counterpart Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Sabah and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments. The Kuwaiti minister praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating recent talks in Islamabad and commended Dar’s diplomatic efforts.
Dar reaffirmed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective path to resolving conflicts. He said Pakistan will continue to play a constructive and responsible role in promoting peace.

Both sides reaffirmed strong Pakistan-Kuwait relations and agreed to remain in close contact.

In a separate call, Dar spoke with Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. He appreciated ongoing engagement between Pakistan and the European Union and briefed her on developments following the Islamabad talks.
Kallas praised Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating direct U.S.-Iran engagement. Both leaders stressed the importance of sustained dialogue and diplomacy to resolve tensions.

EU HRVP commended Pakistan’s constructive role for facilitating US-Iran direct negotiations in Pakistan. Both sides emphasized the need for continued dialogue & diplomacy for resolution of the conflict.
They also reviewed growing cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union and agreed to maintain close coordination on all matters of mutual interest.
