PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has stated that a lasting solution to terrorism is only possible through negotiations, emphasizing that meaningful talks with Afghanistan are indispensable.

He welcomed the federal government’s agreement on this proposal. Gandapur also addressed the issue of Afghan refugees, stating their return should be managed in a dignified and phased manner to ensure both humanitarian sympathy and regional peace.

He highlighted that the ongoing instability in Afghanistan directly impacts his province, leading to serious law and order challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Minister made these remarks during a meeting with participants of the National Security and War Course at the National Defense University, where they discussed national security and regional challenges. He also paid tribute to the countless sacrifices made by the armed forces, police, and the public in the war against terrorism.
