Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan has successfully prevented a major global war between the United States and Iran.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Khawaja Asif stated: “Everyone should congratulate themselves.
Allah has given Pakistan immense respect across the world. Pakistan has been recognized as a trusted mediator by the entire region and the world. The eyes of our Arab brothers, the United States, and the whole world are now focused on Pakistan.”
He added that just yesterday evening, the clouds of war were looming, but the efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif bore fruit. Following the ceasefire success, Pakistan is now entering a new political era. The country will now focus on stability and economic development.
Khawaja Asif praised the civil-military “hybrid model,” saying it has achieved extraordinary success in just two to three years.
He emphasized that when centers of power work together, Pakistan can achieve great heights on the global stage.
He further remarked that “Modi is now sidelined and has nothing left. The Indian media will continue to squirm.
We have humiliated an enemy five times bigger. India is still struggling to restore its dignity.”
The Defence Minister stressed that as a nation, Pakistan must now focus on internal matters — strengthening the economy and eliminating terrorism.
He also warned Afghanistan that it should value the long-standing hospitality Pakistan has provided. If Afghanistan fails to respect this, Pakistan will have no choice but to take other measures.
