Khuzdar attack: DG ISPR to address important press conference today

ISLAMABAD: Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director-General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), will hold an important press conference today at 2:30 p.m.

He will be accompanied by the federal secretary of the interior.

Earlier, in an interview with Al Jazeera TV,  Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the world knows India is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the region. He added that the aerial conflict during the night of May 6 and 7 was witnessed by the entire world. The Pakistan Air Force demonstrated professional excellence and technological superiority, and this will be studied for decades in air war colleges and military institutions. Pakistan has not yet even used the full strength of its armed forces.

DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said, “We always say this is our war, but victory belongs to Allah Almighty. Go into the streets and cities of Pakistan, and you’ll see the answer on the faces of the people—the happiness and celebration they are showing—because this is not just a military matter, nor solely an air or ground battle. This is the battle of truth, a war of justice. Pakistan has exposed lies, deception, oppression, and Indian aggression.”

The Army spokesperson said that after the Pulwama incident, India came up with a fabricated story. Pakistan only asked for one thing—if there is any evidence linking an individual or entity to Pakistan, then present it. Present the proof to the international community or to a credible third party for a transparent investigation. India had no response then, and still doesn’t.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further stated that regarding India’s actions on the 6th and 7th, they have no moral justification. “We remained transparent, spoke the truth, and did not lie. We did not distort facts. The world saw that India’s media and its state machinery were themselves spreading falsehoods in the information war.”
