ISLAMABAD : Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, has strongly condemned Israeli hostilities in Lebanon, calling Israel “a curse to humanity” and accusing it of committing genocide while peace talks are underway in Islamabad.
In a tweet, Asif stated that innocent civilians are being killed by Israel. He noted that bloodshed continues unabated, first in Gaza, then Iran, and now Lebanon.
“I hope and pray that the people who created this state to rid Palestinian land of European Jews burn in hell,” the defense minister added.
Asif’s remarks come as Pakistan hosts peace talks between US and Iran.
