Khamenei rejects bunker, chooses martyrdom: Mousavi

TEHRAN: In a final act of defiance against the aggressors, the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the luminous Leader of the Islamic Revolution who was martyred in the cowardly Israeli and American attacks, refused all entreaties to seek personal safety, insisting instead that the entire Iranian nation be moved to safety before him.

Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Jalal Mousavi, the representative of the martyred Leader in the city of Qom, who was himself injured in the strikes, has conveyed the final moments of the Leader. He reported that security officials, sensing the imminent threat, repeatedly and urgently pleaded with the Ayatollah to relocate to a secure underground military bunker.

According to Dr. Mousavi, the Leader listened to their desperate requests with calm authority. He then posed a question that silenced the room: “First, have you moved the entire Iranian nation to a place of safety? Have you built an underground bunker large enough for all my children?”

Dr. Mousavi recounted that the Ayatollah would not entertain the proposal, stating simply, “First, move the entire Iranian nation to another city. First, provide a secure shelter for every single one of them. Then, and only then, will we speak of my own.”

Dr. Mousavi, his voice heavy with grief, described the moment of the attack. The Ayatollah was in his modest home office, reviewing reports on the welfare of families affected by the recent floods, when the missiles struck. His wife, his son, and two of his young grandchildren were also embraced by martyrdom in that brutal attack, their souls ascending to the Almighty together
