Duo flees with gold after first day on job

KARACHI: In a brazen theft, two newly hired domestic workers allegedly stole gold and diamond jewellery worth lakhs of rupees from a flat on the upscale Khalid Bin Waleed Road in Firozabad before fleeing, police reported on Monday.

According to SHO Firozabad Adeel Afzal, a lady doctor residing in the residential building hired one domestic worker on January 5. The next day, January 6, the worker arrived for duty accompanied by another woman. While the doctor was out, her mother was present at home. The two workers, after briefly showing their tasks, allegedly ransacked the premises and made off with a significant haul of valuables.

The stolen items include gold ornaments weighing approximately four to five tolas, chains, a diamond ring, and other precious accessories. A case has been registered at the Firozabad police station, and the investigation has been transferred to the relevant police team for further action.

Police officials stated they have obtained crucial photographic evidence of the two suspected women from the building’s security system. “We have some photos of the aunts (domestic workers) who stole from the flat, with the help of which they are being traced,” said SHO Afzal, confirming an active manhunt is underway. The incident has heightened concerns among residents regarding the verification of domestic staff in the city.

Meanwhile the case of the recovery of a massive haul of Explosives has been filed by the Counter Terrorism Department.

 

The matter of the FIR suggest that the criminals involved in the major terror plot are of BLA, and Majeed Brigade.

 

The matter also discloses that 2000 kg explosives were recovered the drums in the truck.

 

The assembling of the truck aimed a huge militancy. The explosive was connected with detonator and the wire.

 

A rade was filed in HUB-River Road Karachi to capture the militants.
