ISLAMABAD: Former Caretaker Prime Minister and Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar said that he has no personal enmity with Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leader Mahrang Baloch but it is a reality that she is biggest supporter and spokesperson of banned Indian-funded terrorist group BLA.
While talking to a private news channel, Ex-premier Kakar said Mahrang Baloch and BYC acts as the mouthpiece and collaborators of banned terrorist outfits operating and targeting the innocent civilian and forces in Balochistan province.
While explaining Mahrang Baloch’s activism, Kakar said that she only raised voice for the alleged human rights violation in the Balochistan, however she never had spoken in favor of those poor and innocent people killed by BLA and BLF terrorists.
Kakar further said she only raise voice in favor of the banned terrorist’s terrorist groups, adding that in Mahrang’s view, only terrorists have human rights, but civilians who are victims of terrorism have no human rights.
Mahrang seems to think that the BLA and BLF are characters in a Netflix movie, while portraying the state as the oppressor and villain, Kakar said. This is not the right way to raise concerns about human rights violations. Accountability should be applied across the board, everyone responsible must be held to account, he said.
Former premier said that whenever the state takes action, it does so according to established rules and mechanisms to protect citizens’ rights and hold perpetrators accountable. However, in the view of Mahrang Baloch and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), such actions are labeled as human rights violations.

Kakar said that we need to recognize the pattern in Mahrang’s activism, where she appears to act as a mouthpiece for banned groups like the BLA and BLF by using the narrative of human rights abuses to undermine the state.
