Kakar inaugurates "Minister Health Complaint Cell" at DG Health office

QUETTA: Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar inaugurated the “Minister Health Complaint Cell” at the Directorate General of Health Office.

According to details, Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Panizai, DG Health Dr. Ameen Mandokhail, Cell In-charge Dr. Abu Bakar, and other officials were present in the inauguration ceremony. Dr. Abu Bakar briefed the minister on the operational structure and objectives of the complaint cell.

While talking to media after the event, Minister Kakar stated that in the past, there was no effective system for registering and resolving public complaints in hospitals. However, the current government has now initiated practical steps to enhance the health department and ensure better governance.

Health Minister explained that through the new complaint cell, patients and citizens will be able to directly report their grievances to relevant authorities, and follow-up calls will be made to ensure their satisfaction after resolution.

Kakar also announced that focal persons have been appointed in all hospitals across the province to remain connected with the complaint cell, ensuring timely communication and response.

To modernize healthcare, the introduction of telemedicine services is underway, enabling patients in remote areas to consult specialist doctors online.

Minister also informed about the upcoming launch of the Benazir Air Ambulance service, which will provide emergency and quality medical transport to critical patients.

While acknowledging the lack of infrastructure in some healthcare facilities, Kakar clarified that there is no shortage of doctors or medical staff, and steps are being taken to further improve their performance. He also mentioned that modern medical equipment has already been procured for hospitals.
