ISLAMABAD: Technology company Meta is reportedly preparing to lay off thousands of employees.
According to a report by a global news agency, the company may cut up to 20% of its workforce, which would affect around 16,000 employees.
The layoff process could begin within the next month.
If the company proceeds with the job cuts as reported, it would mark the largest round of layoffs since 2022.
In 2022, the company laid off 11,000 employees, followed by another 10,000 layoffs the following year.
