Balochistan leaders and tribal elders pledge unity for development

Quetta: A grand tribal peace jirga was convened in Sibi, attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail.

Senior tribal elders from the Sibi Division, Member of the National Assembly Mian Khan Bugti, provincial ministers, the Inspector General of Frontier Corps, the Inspector General of Police, the Chief Secretary, and other key officials also participated in the gathering.

During the jirga, tribal leaders presented their concerns and recommendations, while government and security representatives assured them that these issues would be addressed on a priority basis.

Governor Mandokhail emphasized that the province’s development and prosperity are impossible without the collective efforts of all stakeholders.

The jirga concluded with a consensus that sustainable progress and stability in Balochistan require close cooperation among security agencies, tribal elders, and the government.

Tribal representatives reaffirmed their commitment to promoting brotherhood, resolving disputes, and strengthening social harmony across the province.

It is worth mentioning the Balochistan is under insurgencies and Chaos at them moment.

Along with Indian-funded militancy and underdevelopment , there is also a concern of governance and lack of coordination among the stakeholders of Balochistan.

The tribal eldors too have some serious concerns over the governance and security measures taken for the peace and stability in Balochistan.

So this grand Jirga should lead to trust and harmony among the government, security officials and the tribes.
