JI Balochistan chief mobilizes workers in Khuzdar for Lahore’s Jalsa

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Balochistan, conducted a significant organizational visit to Khuzdar, focusing on strengthening party activities and galvanizing support for the upcoming central public gathering  Jalsa in Lahore.

The visit, which began with a warm welcome by party workers, was centered around a key meeting at Jamia Islamia Tafheem-ul-Quran. The gathering brought together JI leaders and officials from various tehsils of the district to review organizational performance and set future goals. A primary focus of the discussions was the grand public rally organized by JI Pakistan, scheduled for November 21-23 in Lahore.

Addressing the workers, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman framed the Lahore event not merely as a political program but as a transformative movement. He described it as a “revolutionary message aimed at making the nation aware of the Islamic system of justice, self-restraint, and perseverance.” He urged the Khuzdar chapter to intensify its organizational outreach, expand the public relations campaign, and ensure maximum participation from the region. He expressed confidence that the rally would mark the “beginning of a new hope and awareness” for the country.

Following the internal party meeting, the JI leader held discussions with Commissioner Kalat Division Tufail Baloch and Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Razzaq Sasoli. The meeting covered law and order, public facilities, and administrative matters. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman emphasized that Khuzdar is a sensitive district where mutual cooperation between all institutions is indispensable for establishing peace and stability, assuring the administration of JI’s full cooperation.

Concluding his visit, he reiterated JI’s resolve to intensify its struggle for public service, religious awareness, and the establishment of a just system based on the Quran and Sunnah, vowing that this collaborative effort with the people would ultimately succeed.

Meanwhile in a significant move to strengthen grassroots democracy, the newly formed “Reforms Committee for the Local Government System” held its inaugural meeting at the Information Technology Secretary’s office on Wednesday. The committee, established on the special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, aims to revamp the province’s local governance framework.

The meeting, chaired by Convener and Secretary IT Ayaz Khan Mandokhail, brought together a diverse group of seasoned bureaucrats and elected representatives. Key figures in attendance included Secretary Local Government Abdul Rauf Baloch, former caretaker Minister retired Sheikh Muhammad-ul-Hassan, former secretaries Ghulam Ali Baloch and Dostain Khan Jamaldini, and Turbat Mayor Balakh Sher Qazi.
