CM Bugti orders completion of Jhalawan Medical College and Hospital project

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to activate the long-delayed Jhalawan Medical College and Hospital project and begin work immediately.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting attended by Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Opposition Leader Mir Younus Aziz Zehri, and senior officials.

The Chief Minister expressed regret over the unnecessary delays in the project’s completion. He directed the relevant departments to prepare a revised PC-1 and accelerate the work. The meeting decided to remove the project director and assign implementation responsibility to the Communication Department.

Officials briefed the meeting that two batches have already graduated from Jhalawan Medical College, while 400 students are currently enrolled. The delays have caused both academic and practical problems for the students.

CM Bugti vowed not to let the students’ future be jeopardized. He said the project would be completed at all costs and as quickly as possible. He added that timely completion of Jhalawan Medical College and Hospital would significantly improve healthcare facilities in the region.
