Jamaat-e-Islami launches youth skills programme in Balochistan

MPA Hidayat-ur-Rehman: Border closure pushes 3 million into unemployment

QUETTA: The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami in Balochistan, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has announced that the party’s ‘Banu Qabil’ programme will soon begin classes in Quetta, aiming to provide skilled training and “decent employment” for the province’s youth.

He made these remarks during a visit to the Al-Khidmat Foundation’s Banu Qabil computer labs in Quetta. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman described the initiative as a “game-changer” and a “new milestone” that will enable Balochistan’s youth to join the race for progress and prosperity.

The programme is designed to offer practical training to help young people secure a dignified future. An important next phase will be the establishment of ‘Banu Qabil Computer Labs’ to promote technical and vocational education across the province.

Furthermore, a ‘Banu Qabil’ entry test programme is scheduled for 31st October in Jaffarabad. The event will be attended by the central Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman.

Hafiz Naeem last month in meeting CM Bugti emphasised that providing quality and free education is the government’s responsibility. “When we pay taxes, it is the duty of the state to ensure education for all,” he said.

He added that if the government facilitates youth participation in IT programmes, Pakistan’s exports will significantly increase. “Under the Bano Qabil programme, we will continue to offer free IT courses,” Hafiz Naeem announced.
