SIBI: The Jaffer Express Train traveling from Peshawar to Quetta was halted at Sibi Railway Station due to serious security concerns following yesterday’s explosion on the railway track in the Damboli area.
According to railway authorities cited by Daily Qudrat, the train had already experienced a delay of nearly six hours after the blast incident in Damboli and reached Sibi late. Due to the absence of a security clearance for the onward journey, officials decided to stop the train at Sibi to ensure passenger safety.
Passengers were informed that they could claim a refund for the remaining Sibi-to-Quetta portion of their journey. However, arrangements have been made to transport them to Quetta via a separate train on Friday morning.
In a related development, railway authorities have canceled the Friday service of the Chaman-bound passenger train from Quetta. Officials stated that the coaches reserved for the Chaman train will now be repurposed to accommodate Jaffer Express passengers at Sibi for their safe transfer to Quetta.
