Pakistan Balochistan News: Jaffar Express Mastermind Killed in Afghanistan

QUETTA: Pakistan Balochistan News is that a senior commander of the Indian proxy Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, has been killed in Afghanistan, security officials said on Tuesday.

Captain Rahman Gul, also known by his nom de guerre Ustad Mureed, was shot dead in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. He served as the deputy chief of the BLA’s Majeed Brigade, a suicide squad blamed for some of the group’s deadliest operations.

Gul was identified as the mastermind of the 2017 Jaffar Express bombing in Pakistan, which killed dozens of passengers and injured many more. Following the incident and other high-profile attacks, the United States formally listed the BLA as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist” organization in 2019.
