Jaffar Express stopped at the Sibi Station for security reasons

Sibi: The Jaffar Express train has been stopped at the Sibi railway station for security reasons.

According to a televised report, the Jaffar Express train, travelling from Peshawar to Quetta has been stopped at Sibi railway stations over security concerns.

The passengers have been shifted to Quetta. The reports further say that Jaffar Express’s departure from Quetta to Peshawar on tomorrow has also been cancelled.

It is worth mentioning that the train has been stopped and the operation has been cancelled on frequent occasions in the last few weeks keeping in view the security concerns.

This is mainly done relying upon the intelligence-based information regarding any possible terrorist-move.

However, the stoppage and cancellation of the train operation has led to a lot of anxiety and trouble to the passengers.

The train has been made to stop for hours either in Jackob Abad or in Sibi on a number of times.

The passengers have complained about the uncertainty of the train operation saying that the Pakistan Railways should make it clear whether to continue the train operation or to permanently close it. However, the security official say that such moves are made to ensure the protection of lives and the properties of the passengers. They say that such  decision are taken to avoid militant attacks on the trains.

The passengers believe that making women, children and elderly people to wait for several hours at a deserted place is a disgusting practice.
