Tal Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted at the possible assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
According to media reports, during an interview with an Australian journalist, Netanyahu was asked if there were plans to target the Iranian leader.
He replied, “We will do whatever is necessary,” adding that Khamenei’s elimination would not escalate the conflict but instead help to bring it to an end.
In related developments, the Israeli military reportedly carried out a missile strike on the Iranian coastal city of Bandar Abbas, destroying a rocket launcher.
In response, Iran activated its air defense systems. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned Netanyahu, calling him a wanted war criminal.
