Lahore: Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by eight wickets in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.
Quetta Gladiators, who batted first, scored 183 runs for the loss of five wickets.
Hassan Nawaz top-scored with 66 runs off 36 balls, while captain Saud Shakeel contributed 42 runs off 26 balls.
Tom Curran also added 29 runs. For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan picked up three wickets for 23 runs.
Islamabad United chased down the target comfortably in the 19th over, losing just two wickets.
Young batsman Saim Ayub played a brilliant knock of 82 runs off 48 balls, while captain Shadab Khan scored a quick 69 runs off just 39 balls, playing a key role in the victory.
It is worth noting that Islamabad United had suffered a defeat in their first match of the tournament.
