Islamabad Talks: World’s eyes on Pakistan, says Bilawal

Islamabad Talks signal hope for peace as Bilawal says “War Is Not an Option”

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has hailed the initiation of negotiations between two conflicting forces as a major achievement, stating that the entire world is currently watching Pakistan.

In an interview with foreign media, Bilawal reflected on the heavy toll of the preceding six months of war. “We are witnesses to the devastating results of the six-month war,” he said. “Not only were human lives lost, but there were also huge economic losses.”

The former foreign minister confirmed that a ceasefire has now been implemented and that the two opposing sides have come to the negotiating table. He expressed hope that the current pause in fighting would serve as a precursor to lasting, permanent peace.

Bilawal also highlighted the diplomatic role played by several nations and blocs in brokering the talks. He noted that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, China, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries made joint efforts to facilitate the negotiations.

In a notable gesture, he extended his gratitude to both the American and Iranian leadership for agreeing to the ceasefire, calling their willingness a crucial component in halting the hostilities.

The PPP chairman did not specify the exact conflict or the parties involved, but his remarks come amid heightened global attention on diplomatic breakthroughs in the region.
