Iran Welcomes Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts to End the War

TEHRAN: Iran has welcomed Pakistan’s diplomatic push to end tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Tehran welcomed Islamabad’s efforts to mediate the conflict, with Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General for South Asia, praising Pakistan’s initiative.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at ending ongoing aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, within the framework of our legitimate rights,” Bahrami said.

He added that Pakistan’s approach underscores the importance of political and regional solutions to strengthen peace, reduce tension, and restore stability.

Earlier, Beijing expressed similar support. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said China appreciates Pakistan’s role in reducing regional tensions and facilitating Iran-US talks.

“We value Pakistan’s role in de-escalation and support its continued mediation efforts,” she said.
