ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called on Muslim countries to form a unified Islamic bloc to address growing geopolitical challenges and ensure collective stability in the region.
In this regard, Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized that the current situation demands unity among Islamic nations. He urged countries across the Muslim world to come together politically, economically, and strategically to determine a direction for their future.
He expressed concern over the escalation of conflict in the region, stating that ongoing tensions have extended beyond Arab countries and reached Iran. He warned that if certain القوى succeed in Iran, it could lead to unavoidable Israeli and Zionist dominance across the entire region.
He described the tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States as a continuation of the longstanding Palestine-Israel conflict, highlighting its broader implications for regional peace.
In this sense, Maulana Fazlur Rehman further stressed the importance of a comprehensive agreement among Islamic countries, covering political cooperation, mutual trade, and defense collaboration.
He noted that such a framework could effectively counter Zionism and Israeli expansionist policies.
In addition, he pointed out that Pakistan is currently playing a constructive and positive role in the region. However, he underscored the need for transparency and collective decision-making within the country.
He called for the government to take Parliament into confidence regarding critical decisions, suggesting that an in-camera session should be convened to discuss the evolving situation in detail.
The JUI-F leader also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, particularly its role in hosting negotiations involving key Muslim countries. He noted that representatives from Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia participated in these discussions.
He described their involvement as significant, given their influence in the Islamic world.
