WASHINGTON/TEHRAN: An Arab diplomat has revealed that Iran has presented a proposed draft nuclear agreement to the United States.
In an interview with Israeli media, the Arab diplomat stated that according to the proposed Iranian draft, Iran would reduce its uranium enrichment level from 60% to 3.6%.
The diplomat added that Iran has also offered to suspend future uranium enrichment for 7 years.
According to the Israeli media report, the United States is currently not demanding zero enrichment. Instead, Washington is calling for the transfer of Iran‘s existing stockpile of highly enriched uranium abroad. However, Iran has refused to export its highly enriched uranium from the country.
The report further notes that Iran has proposed diluting its highly enriched uranium (instead of transferring it), while the US is demanding a 10-year suspension of Iran‘s nuclear program. According to the Israeli media, Iran‘s offer does not fully meet the American demands.
Additionally, the Israeli media claims that the possibility of a US military strike on Iran in the near future has increased again due to these unresolved gaps in the negotiations.
