QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that women are the essential foundation of society and the economy, and their contributions are vital for progress.
He was speaking at the Women Empowerment Expo 2025, which was organized by the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Sunday.
The Governor praised the event, calling it a commendable effort to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment. He noted that while women are already active in many sectors, more work is needed to create even greater opportunities for them.
“Through the joint efforts of both men and women, we can achieve new heights of progress,” Mandokhail said. He emphasized that true empowerment means recognizing women as equal human beings, not just giving them formal rights.
He also highlighted the strong brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran, praising both nations for their strength in defending against aggressors.
Before his speech, Governor Mandokhail visited stalls at the expo, showing interest in the cultural products made by women and appreciating their hard work and creativity. He later distributed commemorative shields to the organizers and guests.
The event was attended by government officials, community leaders, and a large number of women participants.
