Iran offers cooperation to Balochistan on health, human development

QUETTA: Iranian Consul General in Quetta, Ali Reza Rajaee, visited Dr. Kaleem Ullah Health Foundation Hospital. He expressed Iran’s interest in working with Balochistan on health and human development.

The visit highlighted Iran’s willingness to improve basic services for underprivileged communities in the province. The hospital issued a press release confirming the visit and its purpose.

Ali Reza Rajaee met with Dr. Kaleem Ullah Khan Kakar, former Mayor of Quetta and President of the Foundation. Other board members also attended the meeting.

They discussed key public health problems in Quetta. These included poor solid waste management, unsafe drinking water, and weak drainage systems.

Dr. Kaleem Ullah briefed the Iranian envoy on his efforts as mayor. He explained the challenges, such as limited recycling facilities, poor garbage disposal, and water contamination.

Ali Reza Rajaee stressed the importance of solving these problems. “Clean water, effective waste disposal, and proper drainage are vital for public health,” he said. He also noted the need for public awareness.

He told the Foundation that he had already raised these issues with senior Pakistani officials. He assured them of Iran’s readiness to offer technical support.

Dr. Kaleem Ullah appreciated the Iranian Consul General’s commitment. He called the efforts encouraging and timely.
