Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of coordinated attacks on 27 United States military bases across the region.
The IRGC confirmed that the strikes mark the sixth phase of retaliatory operations in response to what it described as recent joint bombings carried out by the United States and Israel on Iranian territory.
The statement characterized the actions as a direct response to the killing of the country’s top leader, an event that has sharply intensified regional hostilities.
The IRGC said it carried out large-scale missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military installations and strategic Israeli sites.
Iranian officials also claimed that a major Israeli defense industrial complex in the same city was targeted.
The IRGC asserted that 27 American military bases across the Middle East were hit during the coordinated operation. However, independent verification of the extent of the damage or casualties was not immediately available at the time of reporting.
There has been no immediate response from US or Israeli authorities regarding the claims.
The IRGC further warned that Iranian forces would pursue what it described as a “different and harsher” course of retaliation, signaling the possibility of additional strikes in the coming days.
The statement used strong language, focusing on that Iran would continue to respond decisively to any actions it considers hostile.
