TEHRAN: According to Iranian media, Iran has launched a new and intense assault on Israel, deploying advanced hypersonic missiles named “Haj Qassem.” Each of these missiles reportedly carried around 7 tons of explosive payload.
The early morning attack targeted key areas including Tel Aviv and the northern coastal city of Haifa, using ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, and drones.
Several strategic sites were struck, resulting in the complete destruction of multiple buildings.
This marks a fresh escalation following an earlier strike by Iran on Saturday night. Initial reports indicate that at least 8 Israelis were killed in the latest offensive, with over 200 injured in northern Israel.
In the city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, there are fears that 35 people may be trapped under the rubble of collapsed structures.
Iranian officials stated that critical infrastructure in Haifa, including facilities supplying fuel to Israeli fighter jets, were successfully hit.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that if Israel continues its aggression, even larger and deadlier attacks will follow.
