Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has firmly denied any involvement in the reported drone attack targeting the United States Embassy in Riyadh.
Tehran strongly condemned the incident and rejected all allegations linking it to the attack.
The statement described the accusations as “baseless” and focused on that Iran has no role in any hostile action against diplomatic facilities in Saudi Arabia.
So far, a report published by The Wall Street Journal claimed that Iranian drones were used in an attack on the US Embassy in the Saudi capital. The two drones allegedly bypassed Riyadh’s air defense systems and entered the embassy compound, where explosions were reported.
However, no independent confirmation of these claims has been provided, and details regarding potential damage or casualties remain unclear.
Iran’s response comes at a time of heightened tensions across the Middle East. The situation has escalated following reports of a joint military operation by the United States and Israel targeting Iranian-linked assets.
Iran is said to have launched missile strikes toward Israeli territory, further intensifying the already fragile regional security environment.
Iran, in its statement, reiterated its commitment to regional stability and denied engaging in actions that could further escalate tensions. It also called on international stakeholders to avoid “premature conclusions” and instead rely on verified evidence.
The incident mentions the ongoing volatility in the region and underscores the importance of diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation.
