QUETTA: Mobile internet services across Balochistan, including Quetta, remained suspended for the seventh consecutive day, paralyzing daily life and leaving citizens disconnected.
The prolonged shutdown has severely affected businesses, government and private offices, media professionals, and students. Online traders and freelancers are facing significant financial losses, with many now struggling to sustain their livelihoods. Residents say the lack of mobile data has confined them to their homes and cut them off from essential services.
According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the provincial government, the suspension was imposed on the request of the Home Department due to security concerns in the province. No timeline has been given for restoration.
