QUETTA: Excessive rain and snowfall have come to a halt in Balochistan, causing an intense cold wave across the province.
According to details, rain and snowfall stopped in northern and central Balochistan after continuing for two days.
Districts including Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Musakhel, Kalat, Khuzdar, Loralai, Mastung, Surab, Pishin and Lasbela have been hit by a severe cold spell following the heavy rain and snowfall.
Streets and roads in the northern districts are covered with snow, making transportation and public movement difficult.
On the other hand, rain continues in parts of Punjab and Sindh, while areas of Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan are experiencing ongoing snowfall.
Roads leading to Azad Jammu and Kashmir are blanketed in snow, with upto six feet reported in some areas.
Meanwhile, rain persists in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
