Indonesian President to arrive Pakistan today

ISLAMABAD: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan today for a two-day official visit.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Indonesian president is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as both countries mark 75 years of diplomatic relations.

During the visit, President Subianto and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold delegation-level talks.

The Indonesian president will also meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The discussions will cover areas such as trade, investment, defence cooperation, health, information technology, climate issues, education, and culture.

Several memorandums of understanding between the two nations are also expected to be signed during the visit.

Indonesia and Pakistan enjoy a strong and long-standing partnership based on shared values, mutual respect, and close diplomatic ties.

Both countries actively cooperate in multiple sectors, including trade, investment, defence, health, education, and information technology.

Their collaboration aims to boost economic growth, enhance security, and promote regional stability.

Regular high-level meetings and official visits help strengthen this partnership further.

The two nations also work together on cultural exchanges, climate-related challenges, and people-to-people connectivity.

With new agreements and memorandums of understanding being signed, Indonesia and Pakistan continue to expand their cooperation for the benefit of both countries and their future generations.
