India directly involves in sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan

QUETTA: Mir Nadeem Baloch, a senior member of the Jhalawan Awami Panel, a local political organization in the province, has made serious allegations against India, accusing it of using cultural centers in Afghanistan to covertly support terrorism in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Baloch categorically said that India has established links with certain opportunistic Baloch tribal leaders and is funding militant groups such as the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) to destabilize the region.

In this regard, as per the verified sources, India has strategically expanded its presence in Afghanistan over the past decade under the guise of cultural diplomacy. These cultural centers, he said, are being used to funnel financial and logistical support to terrorist networks that operate in Pakistan.

He focused on that the BLA, designated as a terrorist organization by Pakistan, has been the primary recipient of this covert funding. He further mentioned a recent incident, Baloch pointed to the hijacking of the Jaffar Express train and linked it to India-backed operatives.

The train, which was travelling through a volatile area, was seized briefly in what authorities are calling a coordinated act of terror. In addition, investigations suggest that the attackers had received training and support from external elements, further validating concerns about India’s involvement.

However, Baloch accused India of pursuing a policy of dual standards, publicly condemning terrorism on international platforms while privately supporting anti-Pakistan militant groups.
