India Blocks Body of Baloch Youth; Pakistan Steps in to Help

QUETTA: India refused to release the body of a young Baloch man, Aryan Shah, after his death. This sad event has raised serious questions about India’s treatment of Baloch people, especially those who believe India supports their cause.

Two days ago, Aryan Shah passed away while in India. So far, his grieved mother, a brave daughter of Balochistan, has requested that Indian authorities return her son’s body. Despite her repeated requests, the body was not released. It was only after the Government of Balochistan stepped in and paid the extra medical expenses that India agreed to hand over Aryan’s body.

In this sense, Pakistan did not stop there. The government also arranged for the return of Aryan’s body to Balochistan and ensured that his mother could travel back safely with him. Pakistan’s quick and humane response has been praised widely across the region.

In this regard, this incident shows a very different picture from what some people, especially a few activists like Mahereen Ghaffar, try to portray. Some countries, including India, use the name of “human rights” to criticize Pakistan and show fake sympathy for Balochistan.

In this case, many experts and citizens are now asking an important question: If Balochistan were not part of Pakistan today, how would the world, especially India, treat the Baloch people?

It is important to note that thanks to Pakistan and its brave armed forces, the people of Balochistan live with safety and dignity. Despite being surrounded by borders and facing many challenges, the people of Balochistan can live without fear because of their strong bond with their homeland and the protection given by their country.

However, the incident with Aryan Shah is a strong reminder that not everyone who claims to support Balochistan cares about its people. It also highlights the importance of national unity and the deep care Pakistan shows for every citizen, no matter where they are.
