NEW YORK: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman and head of Pakistan’s diplomatic mission, said that India is supporting terrorist groups in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistan had recently intercepted phone calls between RAW agent Major Shukla and a BLA terrorist. Authorities also arrested nine terrorists linked to RAW’s headquarters in Delhi.
Bilawal said both countries should present their evidence before an impartial body. This, he said, would help prevent future attacks and deliver justice.
In an interview with Chinese media in New York, Bilawal said India’s repeated unprovoked violations threaten stability in South Asia. He accused India of deliberately undermining regional peace through illegal and unilateral aggression.
He stressed that sustainable peace can only come through dialogue and diplomacy. Pakistan remains committed to peace but will fiercely defend its sovereignty.
Bilawal criticized India’s aggressive actions. He said they endanger efforts to build harmony in the region.
When asked about conflict, Bilawal emphasized Pakistan’s preference for negotiations. He urged the international community to help promote lasting peace in South Asia. “Pakistan has always taken a responsible and peaceful approach,” he added.
Recalling the Pulwama attack, Bilawal said Pakistan offered an impartial investigation and invited international observers. India rejected the offer and failed to identify any suspects a month later.
He claimed India launched strikes without credible evidence. These actions violate international law and justice. “The world must take India’s refusal to cooperate seriously,” he warned.
Bilawal accused India of using counterterrorism as a cover to destabilize the region. He said unilateral actions threaten peace and called for transparent investigations.
He proposed setting up a neutral international forum to investigate acts of terrorism. “Pakistan’s Prime Minister can be persuaded to support this,” he said.
Bilawal stressed Pakistan does not want war, especially between two nuclear powers. “We welcome such a forum,” he added.
He pointed out that the Kashmir issue remains the root cause of instability. Resolving it is key to lasting peace.
