KALAT: Two explosions have targeted a security forces convoy in the Mangocher area of Kalat. In this regard, as per the sources, the Manguchar explosion was aimed at a patrol unit of the paramilitary forces. So far, initial reports suggest that an improvised explosive device (IED) had been planted along the roadside and detonated remotely.
Furthermore, after the Manguchar incident, another blast occurred in the Kolwah area. In addition, defence analysts and government officials have pointed to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) as the group behind the attacks. The BLA, a banned separatist outfit, has repeatedly targeted state institutions, infrastructure, and security personnel across Balochistan.

The group is widely believed to be receiving support and funding from foreign intelligence agencies, with Pakistan’s authorities frequently citing Indian involvement in sponsoring terror activities in the region.
Moreover, the BLA has intensified its operations, striking security convoys, government installations, and development projects, particularly those linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Additionally, local residents in Manguchar and Kolwah reported widespread fear and panic following the latest blasts.

Investigations are ongoing as security agencies work to identify the exact nature of the explosives used and track down possible hideouts linked to the BLA network.
