ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar stated that following Pakistan’s strong retaliatory response to India, the United States became actively involved in the conflict.
He mentioned that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, during a phone conversation, informed him that India is now ready for a ceasefire.
In an interview with CNN, Ishaq Dar emphasized that both Pakistan and India must resolve all disputes through peaceful dialogue, adding that resolving the issue of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir is essential for lasting peace in South Asia.
He asserted that Pakistan has proven its parity and established an effective balance, reiterating that the country has always supported peace.
He welcomed the U.S. President’s expressed desire to help resolve the Kashmir conflict.
The Foreign Minister noted that India’s miscalculations were exposed by the Pakistani military’s retaliatory action, which made India realize the consequences of its aggression.

Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on the condition that India would not carry out further provocative actions.
Dar further said that after Pakistan’s response, the U.S. became active in the matter, and Secretary of State Rubio conveyed that India is now willing to observe a ceasefire.
