KARACHI: In a stunning revelation, it has been told that India and Afghanistan-backed gangs are collecting extortions from Karachi.
The Chairman of Abad, Karachi has disclosed that many incidents of collecting extortions through messages on chits, WhatsApp calls and letters have taken place in the Abad area of Karachi.
He has further said that Builders Association has been a main victim of the extortion collectors.
Chairmen Abad further said that the extortion collectors have links to India and Afghanistan. He said that the money grabbed through extortion is used for the militancy in Karachi.
The IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi said that no application has been submitted by the builders association.
However, the Chairman Abad turned down this stance by showing the FIRs issued by the police in this regard.
The IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi once again said that the police have killed many extortionist.
The Chairman Abad once again contradicted him by saying that the ones who have been killed were not the real persons. The handlers are operating from the foreign countries.
The CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah called a meeting in this regard and has launched an inquiry committee led by the IG Sindh in this regard.
The CM Sindh has said that the Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi will be taken on board in this regard.
The Chairman Abad has further said that the CM Murad Ali Shah will visit to Abad during the next month.
The red warrant will be issued for the criminals involved in the extortion.
It is worth mentioning that extortion-collecting gangs have excessively been operating not only in Karachi , but also in Balochistan areas.
Traders, transnporters, builders, merchants and many other social circles have made numerous complaints against the extorionists.
The disclosure about the fact that the money grabbed through extrotion is used for militancy raises concerns on the national security.
The law-enforcement agency need to take strict action against all such gangs.
