PANJGUR: The internet access becoming unaffordable for the ordinary people in Panjgur as the private companies now charging between PKR 85,000 to 100,000 per connection, prices far beyond the reach of the citizens.
According to details, the suspension of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) internet services and mobile data in Panjgur for the past four years has created a profitable market for private companies.
The residents of Panjgur expressed deep concerns over the excessive fees charged by private internet service providers. Students, in particular, face severe challenges as they are deprived of online education and learning opportunities. Businessmen and everyday users also find it impossible to obtain affordable connections.
The prolonged internet blackout has stopped educational and commercial activities in the region, further worsening the socio-economic conditions.
