Ice Cream consumption sends 40 children to Quetta hospital

QUETTA: At least 40 children fell sick after consuming contaminated ice cream, in the provincial capital of Balochistan.

According to local media reports, all the affected children were rushed to the Children’s Emergency Department at Civil Hospital for medical treatment, where seven remain in critical condition. All the children had bought the ice creams from one shop situated in Quetta and after some time they were unstable unconscious.

This incident follows recent health warnings about cold drinks and spices in the Quetta.

The parents and residents of Quetta has expressed anger over the case and demanded from Balochsitan Food Authority and other concerned department to take appropriate action those who are selling substandard and contaminated food items in the capital.
