Important ICC meeting about to get underway

ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly backed down in the matter of Pakistan boycotting its match against India.

According to sources, the ICC is eager to persuade the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a high-level ICC delegation is arriving in Pakistan on an urgent visit within the next few hours.

Sources indicate that the delegation, led by the ICC Deputy Chairman, is heading to Lahore. An emergency meeting regarding the Pakistan-India match will be held upon their arrival in Lahore.

The President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Aminul Islam, has already arrived in Lahore.

According to sources, the ICC delegation and the BCB President will depart later today after the meeting.

The ICC is keen to satisfy both the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the PCB.
