QUETTA: The Provincial Meteorological Department has predicted that most parts of Balochistan will remain hot and humid in the coming days, while rain, wind, and thundershowers are likely to occur in select areas on August 6.
The northeastern and southern districts of Balochistan including Zhob, Barkhan, Musakhel, Khuzdar, and Lasbela may witness moderate to heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms. These weather conditions are expected to develop due to a combination of monsoon currents entering the region and a westerly wave impacting upper parts of the country.
The remaining parts of the province, including Quetta, Chagai, Nushki, and Kharan, are expected to continue experiencing dry and humid weather, with temperatures ranging between 36°C and 42°C. In this regard, fishermen operating near the Makran coast have been cautioned to stay alert as wind gusts may intensify during storm activity.
Meanwhile, emergency response units and district administrations have been instructed to stay vigilant and prepared for any untoward incidents arising from sudden weather changes. The public has been encouraged to monitor official weather updates through PMD channels and avoid spreading unverified information on social media platforms.
