Hot, dry weather to persist across most of Balochistan: Met Office

QUETTA: Most parts of Balochistan will remain hot and dry, according to the Meteorological Department. Southern districts are likely to experience extremely hot conditions.

Strong winds are also expected during this period.

In Quetta, the maximum temperature reached 36°C, while Kalat recorded 32°C. Ziarat saw a high of 28°C and Zhob touched 39°C.

Sibi and Turbat remained the hottest, with temperatures soaring to 47°C. Nokundi recorded 44°C, and Chaman hit 39°C.

In coastal areas, Gwadar recorded 40°C and Jiwani reached 36°C.

The Met Office has advised people to take precautions during the heatwave.
