Hollywood Actor Mark Ruffalo Blasts Trump As ‘Worst Human Being’

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo used his appearance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards to make a forceful political statement, saying he could not separate celebration from national issues.

Ruffalo, nominated for his role in HBO’s Task, wore a “Be Good” pin to honour Renee Nicole Good, a Minnesota woman who was shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent earlier this month.

“It’s for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered,” Ruffalo told reporters on the red carpet.

He said the glitzy awards show felt “not normal” so soon after her death and other national tensions.

Ruffalo sharply criticised former U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of ignoring international law and focusing only on his own moral compass. He called Trump “the worst human being” and said relying on him for leadership worried him.

Ruffalo also criticised Vice President J.D. Vance and other political figures who defended the shooting as self‑defense.

Ruffalo said he came to the event to celebrate but felt compelled to speak out. “I want to be here to celebrate… but this is not normal anymore,” he said.

Several other celebrities at the event also wore “Be Good” or “ICE Out” pins to draw attention to Good’s death and broader concerns about immigration enforcement policies.
