LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has described the upcoming extended weekend holidays as a valuable opportunity for the people of the province to spend time positively and recharge.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, CM Maryam Nawaz said that residents across Punjab will get to enjoy a long weekend break.
She explained that February 5 will be observed as Kashmir Day, followed by a provincial holiday on February 6 for Basant, after which the regular Saturday and Sunday weekend will follow.
Maryam Nawaz expressed hope that people throughout Punjab will use this time to rest, refresh themselves, and spend it in a fulfilling and enjoyable way.
It is worth mentioning that 5th February is observed as Kashmir Solidarity day whereas the Festival of Basant will be celebrated on 6th February.
The government employees will also enjoy the holiday on the Saturday and the Sunday.
