TURBAT: The historic first-ever mini marathon was successfully organized in Turbat, indicating a vital milestone in promoting sports, health, and unity among the youth of the region. The five-kilometer-long race witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 800 individuals, including children, young people, and citizens from various walks of life.
Furthermore, the large turnout mentioned the strong interest of Kech’s youth in healthy and constructive activities and demonstrated their collective commitment to peace and social harmony. The event sent a clear message that, when provided with positive opportunities, young people are eager to engage in activities that promote physical fitness, discipline, and national unity.
In such a case, the mini marathon commenced from UBL Chowk in Turbat and passed through major parts of the city before concluding at the Kech Stadium. The participants maintained high spirits throughout the race, while spectators lined the route to encourage runners, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and solidarity.
So far, the top performers in the race were awarded prizes in a ceremony attended by senior district officials. Deputy Commissioner Kech, Mayor of Turbat, and the Commandant of Makran Scouts distributed awards among the winning participants and appreciated the collective efforts that ensured the success of the event.
The officials praised the discipline, determination, and sportsmanship displayed by the runners.
The dignitaries focused on the importance of sports in fostering a healthy society and steering youth away from negative influences.
