Balochistan Constabulary, police put on high alert ahead of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal

QUETTA: The Balochistan Constabulary (BC) held an important meeting at its Badr Line Headquarters to review security arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Additionally, IGP and Commandant BC Agha Muhammad Yousaf chaired the session.

SSP Headquarters, Zonal Commander X-IV, Assistant Director Asadullah, and zonal commanders from outstations attended the meeting via video link.

Speaking at the session, Commandant Agha Muhammad Yousaf emphasized the religious significance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, celebrated as the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said anti-state elements have often attempted to disrupt peace by carrying out terror attacks during such religious gatherings, and as a disciplined force, the BC must foil these attempts at all costs.

“Our foremost duty is to protect the lives and property of the people, and we must never hesitate to sacrifice for this cause. Martyrdom is our ultimate objective,” he said.

Highlighting the economic importance of ongoing development projects, Yousaf noted that several initiatives are operational in Balochistan with the cooperation of China, employing both Chinese nationals and other foreign experts. “These projects are vital for the province’s economic growth, which is why anti-state agents continuously plan to sabotage them. Ensuring their protection is our top priority,” he stressed.

The commandant issued several directives to improve force discipline and transparency. He ordered zonal commanders to prepare annual leave rosters for all personnel and display them on notice boards to ensure fairness in leave distribution. He also instructed officers to monitor all personnel through a digital attendance system.

Yousaf further directed commanders to strengthen security at all BC lines without any negligence. He ordered that transfers and postings of personnel be carried out in a transparent manner, warning that no complaints would be tolerated in this regard.
