Heavry rains in Baluchistan Cause Flooding in Streams

QUETTA: Rains hit several parts of Baluchistan. A televised report told about  heavy rains striking many cities of Baluchistan and there is a flood in the rainwater stream of both Baluchistan and Sindh.

According to the report, areas of Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Shirani, Loralai, Ziarat and Qila Saifullah have been effected by the flood situation after heavy rains on Tuesday evening.

The PDMA report says that all these areas could be affected by the flood due to heavy rain.

The PDM (Provincial Disaster Management Authority) had already made the prediction about the flood strike in several parts of Baluchistan.

The chief secretary had held a meeting with the DCs of many cities and had given a prior warning about the flood.

All the concerned departments are on high alert to counter any untoward situation in all the sensitive area.

Parts of Sindh are also affected by a flood today and as many as five women have lost their lives.

The bodies of the demised women were found in Sindh River in such condition that they could not have been identifies.

The residents living near the rainwater streams are advised to remain cautious during flood.

The people are also advised not to travel water points during the ongoing monsoon.
