BOLAN: The hand grenade attack at a local shop in Mach Bazaar on Sunday evening left one person seriously injured, police officials confirmed. As per the verified police sources, the explosive device was hurled at a sweet shop (halwai) in the busy marketplace area of Mach, a town in the Bolan district of Balochistan. The grenade exploded near the entrance of the shop, causing panic in the area and injuring the shop owner.
In this sense, the injured individual was identified as Abdul Ghaffar, son of Haji Abdul Jabbar Rajput, a well-known figure in the local community. He sustained serious injuries in the blast and was initially shifted to Civil Hospital Mach for emergency medical treatment.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility so far. Law enforcement agencies are conducting a search operation in and around the area to trace the perpetrators.
In such a scenario, residents of Mach expressed shock and concern over the incident, calling for greater security measures in public spaces, especially marketplaces that remain crowded during the evening hours.

Bolan has seen intermittent incidents of violence in recent months, and Sunday’s attack has once again highlighted the fragile security situation in the region.
