Gwadar University driver abduction: VC appeals to Governor for safe recovery

QUETTA: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, has raised serious concerns over the abduction of the university’s official driver, also named Abdul Razzaq.

In a high-level meeting with the Chancellor of the University and Governor of Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, the Vice Chancellor urged swift and decisive action to ensure the safe and immediate recovery of the kidnapped staff member.

Dr. Sabir expressed deep alarm over the incident and called for urgent intervention to secure the release of the abductee. Responding to the appeal, Governor Mandokhail took prompt notice of the matter and assured his full cooperation. He immediately directed senior police officials to treat the case as a top priority and to mobilize all available resources to ensure the driver’s early recovery.

The University of Gwadar appreciated the timely attention, commitment, and serious efforts of the Governor, the provincial government, and Member of Provincial Assembly from Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, for addressing the issue with urgency and responsibility.
